It is a pretty simple thing to realize. I have been waiting for
someone to put up a platform like this for a few years now. Using the
information gathered by these polls, an artificial intelligence could
establish a set of laws and a priority structure for urgent planetary
needs.
Using this priority structure the AI will delegate tasks in a manner
that will utilise - and distribute equally - the workload that is
necessary to advance humans to a space faring race.

Benefits of such an arrangement could include (but are not limited
to):
A) The redistribution of labour in such a manner as to ensure that all
humans work no more than four hours daily, whilst still achieving
greater efficiency than our current system.
B) The complete breakdown of current (in many cases corrupt)
government structures and bloated bureaucratic entities worldwide.
C) A rapid decrease in crime worldwide - as people are no longer
exploited for capitalistic gains.
D) A catapulting of science, as all scientific patents and technology
is open sourced and advanced for the purpose of humankind a whole.
E) End of world hunger.
F) End of slavery and poverty.
G) Sustainable future development.
H) Economic stability.
I) Environmental Sustainability.
J) Interplanetary Colonization.
K) The advent of the technological Singularity.
L) The cure for biological aging.

This is my thoughts on the subject. Please discuss.

"New World Order" was a phrased used by Bush I after successfully intervening in the Iraq/Kuwait war, I believe. The only people afraid of it are paleoconservatives that want to go back to the gold standard.

Yes it's idealistic but shouldn't the world work together. On a semi-related note, I am in favor of the TPP. It'll be good in the long run.

It won't be perfect and I can respect that the EU has some dumb rules that make it harder for nations to compete sometimes but overall I look forward to US/Canada/Mexico/Pacific Islands becoming more alike and all speaking English French and Spanish only.

Globalization is an unstoppable trend and for this we are moving closer toward the realization of a World Government. This hypothetical government will not succeed or come into being, however, without actual common threats against the entire humanity. Throughout history, tribalism prevailed until the tribes were threatened by outsiders.

Culturally we are too divided to be ruled under a single entity when even the European Union, a loose political and economic entity, is on the brink of failure.

A world government with the banking cartel being the invisible hand will not be a good thing. It'll widen the wealth gap even further until one day the deprived will seek to overthrow their overlords.

I think the assumption of :

E) End of world hunger.
F) End of slavery and poverty.
G) Sustainable future development.
H) Economic stability

are too idealistic and might not necessarily happen whether there is a World Government or not.
