Hillary Diane Rodham Clinton was the 67th United States Secretary of State from 2009 to 2013, serving under President Barack Obama. She was previously a U.S. Senator from New York (2001 to 2009). Before that, as the wife of President Bill Clinton, she was First Lady of the United States from 1993 to 2001. In the 2008 election, Clinton was a leading candidate for the Democratic presidential nomination.

Anthony D. Weiner, the former Democratic congressman whose sexting scandals ended his political career and embroiled him in a tumultuous F.B.I. investigation of Hillary Clinton before the election, is to appear in a federal courtroom in Manhattan on Friday to enter a guilty plea.

The information has not been made public but was related by two people who have been briefed on the matter and asked not to be identified.

Mr. Weiner will plead guilty to a single charge of transferring obscene material to a minor, pursuant to a plea agreement with the United States attorney’s office in Manhattan, one of the people said. Mr. Weiner surrendered to the F.B.I. early Friday morning.

The federal authorities have been investigating reports that, beginning in January 2016, Mr. Weiner, then 51, exchanged sexually explicit messages with a 15-year-old girl in North Carolina.

The plea covers conduct by Mr. Weiner from January through March of last year, the person said. A likely result of the plea is that Mr. Weiner would end up as a registered sex offender, although a final determination has yet to be made, the person added.

The charge carries a potential sentence of zero to 10 years in prison, meaning that Mr. Weiner could avoid prison. The ultimate sentence would be determined by a judge.

Former congressman Anthony Weiner will plead guilty to transferring obscene material to a minor. Beginning in January 2016, Weiner exchanged sexually explicit messages with a 15-year-old girl in North Carolina, telling her she made him 'hard,' asking her to dress up in 'school-girl' outfits and pushing her to engage in 'rape fantasies'. The messages indicated that Mr. Weiner knew that she was underage.

The charge carries a potential sentence of up to 10 years in prison, though Weiner could avoid prison, depending on the judge's ruling. He will, however likely end up as a registered sex offender.

Weiner was forced to resign from Congress in 2011 after an explicit picture sent from his Twitter account became public. He initially claimed that his account had been hacked before admitting that he had sexted with at least six women. A brief run for mayor of New York in 2013 also collapsed after new explicit messages emerged. And his marriage to Hillary Clinton assistant Huma Abedin fell apart after yet more suggestive text messages came to light last August, including one with an image of Mr. Weiner’s crotch as he lay next to the couple’s son, who was 4.

Meanwhile, a former Secret Service officer was sentenced to 20 years in prison yesterday for sending sexually explicit photos of himself to underage girls while he was on duty at the White House. Prosecutors had been seeking a life sentence for Lee Robert Moore, 38, who was nabbed in an undercover sting when he sent indecent materials, including a picture of himself, to someone he thought was a teenage girl.

The 2016 election cycle was unlike anything we have ever seen in American politics.  We can talk all we want about elections or movements from 100 years ago but there is really no denying that 2016 was one for the ages.  Hillary Clinton was handed the White House on a silver platter and her disastrous decisions that followed are going to be talked about for decades to come. A new heavily sourced book, “Shattered: Inside Hillary Clinton’s Doomed Campaign“, is giving us fascinating insight into just how badly Hillary Clinton squandered her long-awaited opportunity and what was going through her head on election night.

We knew that Hillary was dejected when she realized she had lost the election to Donald Trump.  We didn’t know what the conversation sounded like when she was on the phone with Barack Obama that night.  It looks like she was very aware that she had failed to successfully spin Obama’s failed policies.

It wasn't just "gunfire." It was "sniper fire." It's more dramatic that way.

This film documents Clinton's rise to power and Clinton Foundation's revolving door with Gulf state monarchies. It shows the Clintons are no better than the Bushs.

The fact that so many are willing to vote for Hillary Clinton, despite evidence of her criminal deeds, says a lot about the effectiveness of having friends in the mainstream media versus the effectiveness of social media, for although the entire r/politics subreddit is anti-Hillary, she still emerges victorious in the myriad of polls over Trump who's merely being loudmouth and sometimes stupid.

Americans should start valuing actions/merits more than words. In fact, the whole western world need to realize that the person who's the best speaker does not a good leader make. Sadly, most voters don't have the information or intellect to tell who the better leader is. It's absurd that the signficantly more popular candidate Bernie Sanders is out only because the DNC does not want him, and there is no mass protest or anything over this fact, for the people still believe in a system crooked and rigged to appear democratic that is actually anything but.

“You could put half of Trump’s supporters into what I call the ‘basket of deplorables.’ Racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamaphobic, you name it.”

— Hillary Clinton in September 2016

Remarks like this fomented the hatred and divisiveness that exploded around the country in 2016. A campaign strategy that pitted Americans against each other for political gain resulted in countless acts of violence and destruction, before and after the election

It was a strategy that ended up backfiring when Hillary spoke these fateful words two months before election day. Rather than address the economic concerns of working class Americans, visit their states, and hear their complaints, she demonized them, calling them sexist and racist... even though many had voted twice for our first black president!

It verified what many, especially Bernie supporters, suspected about her. That she was an elitist, not like them at all, and completely out of touch with the middle class. Fed up with being targeted by identity politics and having their complaints ignored, it was these Democrats who gave the election to Trump by either staying home or switching to the Republican side.

And Russia had nothing to do with that.
